Business spotlight - karen pet care service

karens pet care
this year, each month, I will be sharing a business spotlight on the blog, featuring a local business that I love.  I am really excited about this spotlight because it is for Karen’s Petcare Service, a wonderful local Pet minding business!

Enjoy finding out more about Karen & her story here:-

What is your favourite thing about your job?
Getting to cuddle so many different animals and working outdoors

How did you get started?
We always needed care for our dogs, and the thought came to mind one day wouldn’t it be great to have someone locally, trustworthy and reliable to come and care for our pets when going away. I initially started with some magnets & flyers as letterbox drops – then that person suddenly became me!!

How big is your company in terms of employees?
Four staff plus myself

Where can we find you and how can we contact you (phone number & location)?
0419 432 482 – located in Helensburgh

Can you tell the Forever Bliss Photography newsletter readers a little bit about Karen’s Petcare Service?
We care for any type of pet – dog, cat, bird, chickens plus lots more! Your pet stays in the comfort of your own home and we come to visit, feed & play or walk your pet generally when people go away. We have available (on application) ‘stay with a staff member’ for dogs only. We also offer a regular dog walking service and are a distributor for Biopet Organic Dry Dog Food.

What is your favourite thing about living in the Sutherland Shire?
I’ve actually lived in Helensburgh now for 7 years and absolutely love my country town! I grew up in Engadine and lived there for 29 years – so I have many clients within the shire! That’s why Karen’s Pet Care Service covers the area from Coalcliff through to Caringbah. The beaches and cliff views (around the Royal National Park) would have to be my most favourite thing, although closely followed by the animals!

What’s your favourite ‘indulgence’ that is just for you?

What do you do to relax?
I really love sitting in my backyard and admiring my husbands hard work. Thanks hubby for making it such a relaxing, pleasant area to relax. It feels as good as good as being on a holiday.

Thank you Karen for talking to us this month!

cheers, chantelle
