new bundles of joy as well of kids of all ages! I have two gorgeous

time to time, when they are not running away from my camera!

i love getting to see my little clients grow over the years, this little guy’s big brother, i photographed as a newborn nearly 2 years ago and he was so cute! fast forward to now and here now a big brother to another gorgeous little guy. J & D, it was lovely to see you guys again, congratulations, your boys are adorable!

The Australian Community of Child Photographers is a volunteer organisation of child photographers from all over Australia who have come together to form an organisation dedicated to giving the gift of photographic memories to families that have experienced stillbirths, premature and ill infants and children in the Neonatal Intensive Care Units of their local hospitals, as well as children with serious and terminal illnesses.
We have chosen to exhibit a selection of our photographs in order to raise awareness of the service we offer and to tell the amazing stories of everyday people with whom we are priviledged to work with.

Time for the next business spotlight on the blog, featuring a local business that I love. I am really excited about this spotlight because it is for Birth In Balance which is run by the wonderful Briony Howland.
Enjoy finding out more about this busy woman and her business:-
What is your favourite thing about your job? I love being able to support couples throughout their pregnancy & also at the birth of their baby. It is such an amazing experience that I never tire of. I also enjoy nurturing women through massage – especially busy Mums & pregnant women as they are so deserving & always so appreciative!
How did you get started? My interest in natural therapies began when I had difficulties conceiving my first child. The people I met & what I learned along this journey inspired me to undertake my own studies to become a qualified practitioner. I then went on to complete my Diplomas of Nutrition & Massage, specialising in fertility, pregnancy & children’s health.
After having 3 amazing birth experiences supported by a doula, I knew that the next step for me was to become a certified doula myself. It was from here that Birth in Balance was created – natural therapies to support women & their families not only through pregnancy & birth but also beyond.
How big is your company in terms of employees? Just myself!

Do you have a family? I have a very headstrong 5 year old daughter, a laid back 3 year old son, a feisty 9 month old baby boy & a husband. It’s incredible how different they all are!
What is your favourite thing about living in The Shire? For me it’s having everything you need without having to venture far from the area if you don’t want to! I also love being close to the city & the south coast.
What’s your favourite ‘indulgence’ that is just for you? A getaway to Byron Bay would have to be my favourite, but on a day to day level it would be a chai latte.
What do you do to relax? A cup of tea & the sound of a quiet house when the kids are all in bed for the night is relaxing for me! But if I get the time, I enjoy a massage, yoga class or leisurely stroll around some markets.

Finally I am ready to share some photos of the inside of the new studio!!! There is still so many little bits & pieces to be done, but the main stuff is done! I love it :) I will be holding mini sessions here shortly, so keep an eye on the blog for details!
this lovely family visited the studio over the weekend for me to photograph their adorable little man, who is 12 weeks old. he was a bit out of sorts and definitely not interested in having a sleep at the end of the session, we got some gorgeous shots though! R & A, it was great to meet you and your little cutie, enjoy the sneak peek!

It was so lovely to photograph this gorgeous family again last week, i first met them when Master T was just 8 months old, i truly d love to see my little clients grow! well this session i also got to meet the adorable miss l, who is about 8 months old now, and so cute!! look at those chubby cheeks! and here the y are, enjoy C & L! slideshow info in a few days i promise!
i just don’t get time to photograph my kids, sad isn’t it….it really is something I need to make the time to do, although in saying that my boys are just no very interested in being photographed, even just day to day snapshot stuff, so it makes it even harder. we spent a few hours at the beach yesterday, the weather this past weekend was just gorgeous, the boys each had a turn on dads lap driving the car on the beach, god they LOVEd it!!!!!
